The Natural Healing Garden/ Goods from the Garden – Catering & Events

Did you know that planning an event can be stressful and a bit overwhelming?  During the past eight months, we have all had to pivot and shift with new ways of living, teaching, working and planning. Happy couples have had to cancel or postpone their weddings.  Memorials and Life Celebrations have been put on hold or handled via Zoom.  Birthday parties, baby showers and other major milestone events have had to be executed differently.

I have been in the Catering and Events Management industry for several years.  Imagine the stress that comes with events being cancelled and or not allowed to take place due to the decision making of local and statewide mandates.

Enjoy Yourself! Often, the event planner or “hostess” is running around doing a million things when it comes to the actual day. You must remember the reasons you decided to throw this special event or whatever it may be and take some pleasure in the joy you have given to your guests! Of course it’s possible there is going to be potential stress. Remember, there are things you can control such as theme, guest list and food, but there are other aspects way beyond your control like guest behavior, unexpected illness and the weather.

By planning your event ahead of time, you’ll experience less stress on the day of the event and you and your guests will be sure to have a more enjoyable time. The biggest rookie mistake of event planning is waiting too late to start planning. Ideally, you should start your planning at least three months ahead of time.

Hiring a Caterer

Leaving the planning up to the professionals can save you a lot of time and stress.

  1. How much is your time worth?
  2. When you are planning on a caterer, who is the best fit for you.
  3. Narrow down your search based on your budget and what type of party you’re hosting. Picking a catering company that is well versed in the type of event planning, whether it’s a corporate event, Holiday Party, Wedding or a Sweet Sixteen, will guarantee you get the service you want.
  4. A great caterer can also help you with rentals, décor, and finding entertainment.

Many vendors know ones who work well and that can fit into your budget.

Our company has learned new ways of doing business and executing memorable events during one of the biggest shifts, the pandemic.
