The Christmas holiday season is cookie baking 

time at our house. Its a time we forget calorie 

counting and enjoy the holiday treats. These Snickerdoodle 

cookies are one of our favorites. 

 

 

“Holiday Snickerdoodles” 

 

1 cube butter {soft} 

1 cup sugar (plus 2 tablespoons set aside) 

1 large egg 

1 teaspoon vanilla 

1 2/3 cups flour 

¼ teaspoon baking soda 

¼ teaspoon baking powder 

¼ teaspoon cream of tarter 

1 teaspoon cinnamon 

 

 

Cream butter and sugar until blended. Beat in egg 

 and vanilla. In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients 

 and gradually beat into creamed mixture. Mix 

 remaining sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. 

Shape dough into balls and roll in cinnamon sugar 

mixture, place on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 

10-12 minutes in a 375 degree oven.  Enjoy!
