When people ask me where I work and I tell them Good Samaritan Society, often they will say, “my grandmother lived in the apartments at Good Sam” or “that’s where my dad went for therapy after his hip replacement” or even “your hospice team were angels when my mother was dying.”

I always thank them for remembering who we are and then I ask them if they know how many different Good Samaritan services and locations we have in the quad cities.  Usually, they mention the one they experienced: home health, in-patient rehabilitation, hospice or assisted living.

When I mention we have seven different service lines, they are always surprised.  It’s what we call our continuum of care and it’s one of the things that makes us unique from other health care providers in the area who might have one or two service lines working together.

What does this mean to you? It means when you choose Good Samaritan Society as your care provider, whether it’s for senior living, assisted living, long term care, rehab, home health or hospice, you’ll have a team of people that work together across the service lines to make sure you are getting the care and support you need.

For example, if you decide to move into our Windsong Villas senior living apartments in Prescott Valley, you’ll get more than just a great place to live, with supportive services like scheduled transportation to medical appointments and weekday lunches with your fellow residents.  You’ll be a part of our continuum of care and get priority access to our other services.

So, if you have health issues and can no longer safely stay at your independent apartment, you’ll jump to the top of the list at our Willow Wind Assisted Living facility or our Prescott Village and Prescott Valley Long Term Care nursing, depending on what you need.   We prioritize our Good Samaritan residents for any of our services within our continuum of care, giving you peace of mind that if life sends you a curveball, we’ll be there to help you with the next stage in life.

If you’d like a tour of our apartments and casitas to see what it might be like to live there, or check out our rehabilitation and long-term care facilities in Prescott or Prescott Valley, or have lunch with me at Willow Wind Assisted Living, please call 928-713-2292 and arrange a tour today.  I’d be happy to show you how our 100 years of service as a non-profit, faith-based company can make a difference in your or a loved one’s life.
